Conrad, Gail and Finlay (& Boots) set off for Mid Waiohine Hut on the Saturday. Unfortunately Boots (the dog) had some arthritis issues, so Gail and Boots headed back home. Conrad and Finlay headed on, found some spectacular weather and the bright orange hut of Mid Waiohine for the night.
On the Sunday, Gail headed back up the hill (passing Katrina and Sandra on the way) and got to High Ridge. Katrina and Sandra continued, getting to Powell Hut for lunch, and then catching up with Gail, Conrad and Finlay.
