The Powell hut trip 05/04/2026
Josh and Nathan started the tramp at 8:23am at the road end then we went to rock look at 10:27am for a rest then we went to the mountain house for a coffee and tea at 11:38am. There were a lot of steps we had to get throw. At 13:35 we got to the hut, which was cloudy blocking the viewer of it. We had lunch there then we went back to the mountain house at 14:45 there were few people on the track. We went back to the car and took the river ridge track with a lot of roots on it. Come on to the atiwhakatu truck. We get to the car we were leaving road end & it started to rain the weather was mainly fine with a bit of cloud
