TRIP REPORT 15 June ‘25
Mountain House Shelter
A fresh crisp 3 degrees saw Nigel, Liz, Margaret Mc, David, Christine and Tony set off from Holdsworth Carpark along the Atiwhakatu Track, destination Mountain House Shelter. With Gentle Annie closed for its long overdue track upgrade, after an hour or so, the alternate route up the hill was taken. Smoko break was called for half way up the hill before setting off again with everyone feeling a little warmer from the uphill exertion. Lunch was taken at Mountain House Shelter were the slightest of breezes combined with the shade had us feeling a tad cooler. A return trip back to the carpark on a rare Tararua windless day. A good time had by all.
